yeah that's the thing, I want to compete a lot this year, because the next 4 years I'll be in college, my mare will be bred for a baby or two. She'll be bred in spring, so I can do a 50 or two with her and then after she foals the following year, I'd like to get a 50 or two on her. Then do it again because her old owner wants a foal out of her. But once you get to know a lot of people, someone will usually have a spare so I can get some more rides in with out taking my time away from school to condition the horse. Hopefully it works out. lol :-)
Yeah, I usually go to a few SE rides and then mostly NE rides. I did 13 AERC rides last year, plus 3 CTR's. This year I'm going to be doing about 15 AERC rides. My first one will be back to back 55's in South Carolina in March. Then it's a 75 in New Jersey, a 50 in Maryland, and then a 100 in PA, a 100 in Maine, a 100 in Vermont, then going to visit a friend in Michigan and ride the Shore to Shore Pioneer 250 with one of her horses, then hopefully the Big South Fork 100 in Tennesee in September, the championship 100 in Indiana in October, and then a jersey 50 to conclude the season in November.
Oh really!! NJ can be boring unless you're going fast. Then it's fine :-) As for the OD, no I haven't. I don't really go to the OD rides because there are closer rides to me than them. OD is only 3-4 hrs. for me, but there's another 100 in PA that is only 2 hrs. from me, so I like to save the gas money :-)
